Hi
I'm not sure how much food to feed my 3 piggies, i know that if i put a load of food in their bowl they will still just eat it so i took some pics:
they get this amount in the afternoon when i get home from school, and in the morning they get maybe some cabbage/brocolli/carrot, hay and fresh pellets

They have two bowls one on each floor [top floor] grass, parsley, carrots, pellets [in case they fight, they have 2 bowls]

[bottom floor] pellets, grass, carrot, corn [from the pet shop], parsely

and their hay: [top floor]

and small bit on the bottom floor [sorry its a bit messy i was about to clean out the hutch]

is it not enough or is it too much? I have no idea:{

The quantities of food are perfect for three. Lucky guinea pigs ! :)

Have you ever thought about buying fresh sweetcorn instead of the petshop one? Great excitement happens with all the leaves!

I would make hay and newspaper their prime bedding with just a small sprinkle of woodshavings as too many wood shavings can sometimes cause eye injuries and breathing problems.

Hope this helps.:)

thanks
have recently found out about corn, but my mum and dad think piggies should eat leftover salad, cabbage.. they haventy got used to the idea of buying stuff specially for them!

Looks about right to me and a good variety :) There are a few threads that have gone up recently about what veggies to feed and how often and some have a lot of detail which you might want to check out.

The key thing to remember is that veg should make up 10% of a piggy's diet. Another 0 - 10% can be made of pellets and then the rest (80 - 90%) made up of hay. This can be tailored to fit each piggy's needs but that's the general rule of thumb.

I'd try to avoid feeding carrots too often as well. Once or twice a week should really be the limit. All in all it looks like you piggies are very well catered for :)
