How much hay is too much?

My boyfriend and I just got two new guinea pigs last night and they seem happy and very active but I am just wondering how much hay is too much? I filled their hay-ball last night and by this morning it was empty. I filled it again and it is just about empty again. I know hay is an essential part of their diet but how often should I be filling their hay-ball? Thank you! We are new guinea pig owners so any advice would be very helpful 8:)
 
guinea pigs adore hay, have they got it as bedding? i dont think they can eat enough hay ,to be honest, it is a major part of their diet, they must also have fresh veg and small amount of fruit( about 20%fruit to 80%veg,) everyday, look on health and diet to find out more hthx
 
In a nutshell - constantly top it up :))
We use veg racks and put large handfuls so they can nom away or bury themselves in it so might be easier to buy something a bit bigger for them.
Their hay is topped up twice a day - we have 12 piggies, order 14kg of meadow hay online which lasts for around 3-4 weeks :))
They have readigrass as well and other nice hays from the same supplier, Zooplus who are really good.

I put mine on a hay bed. I always have done. They quite happily eat it and then i clean them out and give them more the next day.

I tried them on straw beds with one room filled with hay purely because I have 45 long bales of straw wanting using. But they were a to catch, cos straw is more 'hidey' for them they didn't eat that. lol.

Hay for pets sell really good hay. give them unlimited amount
