Hello it’s always good to do your research before hand and id think about Vet fees that might be needed.
I have 2 boars and I think we get thru about 3 kilos weekly.
There is a lot of wastage as guinea pigs pee and poo on their hay so it needs removing daily at least.
I have a compost bin that produces lovely compost from the used hay and poos !
I’m sure other people will be along to advise you.
I have a boar and sow pair.
We get through a lot of hay in a week but I’m not sure how much.
I buy either 9kg or 4.5 kg bags which seem to last well.
Mine love to play in the hay, making tunnels and nests.
As @Roselina said - it does get well pooed and weed in too.
As the weather is turning cooler they get extra hay for warmth
As the other have said, you will throw a lot of hay away once it has been played in, pooped on and then discarded as hay is for fun as well as for food.
You may get varying answers as it depends on the set up someone has.
Mine live in my shed so I use a lot more in winter than I do in summer. I buy full size bales from a local farm (£8 per bale) and with my two rabbits and two piggies, I get through a bale in around 6-8 weeks in summer and around 6 weeks in winter.
When I used to buy it by the box from an online company, I would order 15kg (sometimes 20) every four weeks (I’d still have a little left when the next delivery arrived) so that’s around 4kg per week. That was very expensive, if I remember correctly I’d pay around £40 (it was a few years since I’ve done that due to finding the farm bales)
Definitely think about vet fees too. Most of us set money aside or save into a separate bank account and call it our vet fund
