A cup (and it’s increments) is an American way of measuring. You can buy cup measures, the same kind of idea as measuring spoons for tablespoons, teaspoons etc.
For pellets, it’s one tablespoon per pig. A tablespoon, not a dessert spoon which is what a lot of People often think! A tablespoon is actually a very small amount.
I give my 5 piggies breakfast of Harringtons pellets. They get 5 small handfuls a day between 2 bowls. If there is some left the next day (not very often) I don't refill until it's all gone by the next day. They always have a breakfast of pellets and a dinner of veg every day and plenty of hay in between which they are more than happy to munch on.
Thanks loads. This is the part of their diet ive been getting wrong. I dont feed loads of nuggets but i have been giving too many. I am going to buy a plastic scoop tablespoon to sit in the nugget cereal tub
I give half their veg portion in the morning and then the other half of veg in the evening with their pellets. (Obviously Hay always available) but I’m liking your way @Betsy! I don’t always prepare their daily veg and then halve it, I tend to just go by eye and then I have to remember, well I actually fed too much at breakfast so i won’t give as much for dinner etc. It’s a pain in the neck quite honestly but just giving pellets for one meal and then just giving veg for the other sounds like it would make life much easier!
@Skypipdot. Yes, it is an absolutely tiny amount really.
