How much poo is normal?

He have a boar that seems to produce lots of poo. It might be because he never leaves his tube when he's in the run so it looks a lot in one pile, but we just had him in the run for about 90 minutes and when we took him out, there was 29 long, hard poops! The tube was full of them!

It's a lot for a guinea pig that doesn't seem to eat lots whilst in the run, just what grass is in reach from the safety of his tube.

He doesn't squeek or get excited about food, or anything for that matter, so to be producing this much poo just seems excessive? :(
 
Guinea pigs just produce insane amounts of poop, it never ceases to amaze me and I've been tempted sometimes to go for the cup measurer and check just how much they can do in a day...

I don't think a large number of poop is a reason for concern, I would be more worried if there were little. Also as long as the poops look good and are not runny or so the pigs guts are ok! That's what I live by anyway.
 
Does he eat a lot of hay? Since I got nicer hay for mine and they're eating fresh grass too they are pooping a crazy amount! It's normal though. :)

At least my girls poop out in a corner of their run, unlike the boys who just poop everywhere!

I definitey agree with this. Lots of poop is normal. :)
 
Dindypig can poop for Britain, she has rosettes, medals and cups decorating her pen.
 
I do scoop poop out literally by the (gloved) handful twice daily from my tribe of nine! Lots of poops is normal; you get a big heap if a piggy has been sleeping of dinner in one place.
