Heykids!
Junior Guinea Pig
Hi there,
Claude has been prescribed Baytril today for an abscess. I understand it is important to give a probiotic 1-2 hours after the antibiotic is administered. I have some Pro-C Probiotic which I would like to syringe feed him. Could anyone advise as to how much to give and in how much water? I understand that the dosage is 1 scoop per 200ml of drinking water but I don't really want to make that much up and then waste it. Also, how much of the diluted Pro-C formula do I syringe feed him?
The Pro-C pot was opened last May ish but there is no shelf life on the label. Will it still be ok to use?
Alternatively I have another piggy and can make poo soup - is that a sufficient option?
Thanks in advance.
