I am giving my piggies revolution as one of them has a patch missing on her back but looks and acts really healthy otherwise. I'm just being on the safe size really.

Can you confirm that I am using the correct dose:

According to gynea lynx, I use the mauve tubes for puppies and cats of 60mg/ml concentrate of Selamectin/Revolution.

I multiply their weight in KG x 0.167

Bindy is 1.178kg. Multiply by 0.167 which equals 0.2cc. Each tube according to guinea lynx contains 0.25cc

So I am giving her practically the whole tube?

Its important not to home treat as it may affect the vets ability to diagnose the cause of the hair loss.

We don't recommend home treating on spec. You need to see a vet who can diagnose, prescribe the appropriate medication (which might be what you already have) and let you know the right strength for your piggys weight.
The problem is I have NO confidence whatsoever with my locals vets and the specialist guinea pig vet is too far away for me to drive there. One of the local vets even admitted they didn't have much experience with guinea pigs and the other, when I first got my pigs, i took Barnaby to the vets and he wasn't eating, He didn't tell me I needed to hand feed him which I would have if I had known to do this, He gave antibiotics and said he would probably die, and of course he did! he had stopped eating and I didn't know I should have hand fed him so I have no confidence whatsoever!
Lola is looking great and probably the small piece of hair came out when the girls had a small argument when lola was on heat and Bindy told her off, But I just wanted to be sure that there was no mange to be safe.

Is there no way at all to get to the vets? Then again with current circumstances (don’t know how things stand in NZ), they may not be an option. Perhaps call and email them to see. Or get them to speak to the local vet while your piggies are there so they can be told what to look for etc.

So they don’t have symptoms of any parasite issue? It’s only this piece of hair coming out which makes you want to treat them? Sows do pull hair but treating for parasites if there isn’t an actual problem can create resistance to the medication meaning when there is a parasite problem the treatment may not be as effective.
Seeing a vet - perhaps getting your local vet to speak to the specialist vet as siikibam suggested - really is the only way to be sure of what you are dealing with and prevent problems occurring through treating the wrong issue or treating incorrectly.
