So you Might now I have a new arrival today.. Pudding! She’s hiding in her tube right now.. I think she’s a bit stressed.
How much time should I wait for her to settle in before I start handling her?

I would give Pudding a couple of days to settle in, a Cuddle to say hello then let her settle. Frustrating I know but will pay dividends to help her settle and tame her

Welcome Pudding (loving the name!) Is she a rescue? How old is she? Can't wait for pigtures!
She’s a baby! :)
I did actually get her from Pets at Home.. I dont know of any nearby rescues :(
I do have some pictures of her! I have a thread called “Meet Pudding” :)

My guineas are very new too- I've had them for 2 weeks today. They are eating normally now, but are still quite skittish and tend to run and hide when I open up the cage to say hello or feed them. They do come out after a few seconds to eat, and eat right in front of me now. I'd say just to be patient, it takes time for them to begin to trust you and get used to new surroundings. It's the same with any animals really.

My guinea pigs are rescues; a mother and daughter pair. Pikki is the baby, about 5 weeks old. Nola is the mother, we think she's around 7 months. They were both found in a bin, and Nola has obviously never been socialised in the past as she is very reluctant to be picked up. Pikki, however, has been socialised from quite a young age and is now getting used to being held.

Hello and welcome.
Love to see pics of your girls when you can.
Guinea pigs are skittish- they’re prey animals.
My 2 youngest who are almost 3 and very well settled will still run for cover for no apparent reason.

I own a rabbit too, and he seems very curious. When I walked past his hutch with the guinea pigs, he came right up to the window and stared and them! I think I'll introduce them when they're all out in their runs, but putting the runs next to each other so they can check each other out. Please let me know if I should do this a different way!

And yes, I'll be sure to upload some pictures soon! They're very pretty girls.
