I am sorry if this question has been answered hundreds of times before...

How much fruit and veg do you give your guineas every day? I have been giving my two boys one bowl to share on a morning and one on an evening. I was reading the back of my tesco Guinea food and it reccomends veg be given only 2-3 times a week?

Am I giving too much? please help!

Guinea pigs are given veg because they cannot produce their own vitamin C so they should be given veggies every day at least once a day. Fruit should really be given as a treat only as it is high in acid and not a natural part of their diet.

I give my two a big bowl between them every evening. A typical days veggies for mine would be a carrot, some spring greens,½ red pepper, one stick of celery, some green beans, cucumber and a teeny bit of broccolli stalk because mildred loves it.

Hope this helps

I would be in big trouble with my guinea pigs if I only gave them veg 3 times aweek! Mine have veg every day

Thanks Guys! :)
