How Much?

How much fruit and veg to feed, i'm not really sure. I've took this photo to show you, is it enough or too much.

I give this twice daily and i vary whats in it, in this is, apple, tiny toms, spinach and carrot.

You are looking a cup of veggies per pig each day split into 2 meals. Amount looks right there from what I can see.

That looks about right for 2. I agree with sport_billy don't give too much fruit. Mine get a 1/4 a small apple or 1/6 of a big apple between 7 piggies twice a day. About half a grape each on the odd occasions my grandson comes home from school without eating them. If you notice that their poos are getting wetter or runny then cut back on things like spinach, lettuce & cucumber.

Have now looked at the link and have me shopping list, they eat healthier than my family!

I tend to eat more salads now the fridge is always full of it.

When we shop the cashier always say 'Wow. you eat really healthy' We just nod and smile The majority of veg goes to 'Their Kind'

Piggies all have their own likes and dislikes - I've had ones that go bananas for bananas (incuding the skin) and others that won't entertain it! I agree on the fruit thing, although with my current herd, apple is the only fruit considered acceptable, or the occasional satsuma segment, but it's a controversial topic in the pen!
