daily? weekly? and what months of the year? do you stop letting them out in winter?6)

They go out all day every day unless its thundering/raining then they stay in, when its nice overnight they stay out in their hutch if not they come indoors :)

Unless its pouring or freezing cold mine go out everyday in the run, even if its just for 10 mins just so their not cooped up all day gives them a chance to stretch their legs.
I make sure all my boys get atleast 10 minutes a day. But just recently everytime they go outside, after 5 mins it starts to rain.. typical english weather:{

I try to get Bertie out every day this time of the year but yesterday he was out for 10 minutes and it poured so that was it. I try to cover his run up so the grass is dry. To be honest his smaller run was much easier to use I could cover that up...

I put my guinea pigs out on the grass at every opportunity. This weather has been awful though, so they've had considerably less run time than what they are used to, but they are out just now as the grass dried and it is not raining - for now.

So long as it is dry, not too cold/windy and not a storm (with one extreme exception), the pigs are out. I cover their runs and they stay out in the rain sometimes (they're completely covered though!). Obviously, if it chucks it down, they go back in at the next opportunity because they run out of dry grass to eat and I can't move them to the next patch as it is soaked.

I always put them out when it is really hot because their hutches get direct sunlight at different points of the day and I can't move them on my own, so they're better off in the runs which are shaded, spacious and airy.

I think the latest they have been out has been a particularly nice October. When they start going out at the start of the year really just depends on the weather. I think they had some run time in February last year!

Mine go out in the garden for a good few hours everyday if the weathers nice. If its raining they don't but they get the run brought in for them so they still get the chance to run around and play :)

My piggies go out whenever it's not raining and i am home to make sure they're okay! It ranges how long they go out for, sometimes an hour, sometimes 8 hours! As long as the grass isn't soaking wet i think they must be better off in the fresh air and stretching their legs than in their hutch 24/7. Not looking forward to the winter :(

I try to get my boys out as much a poss but with weather and sometimes only being home long enough to feed them before needing to be out again it doesn't happen.

But when they do go out we manage a good few hours.

My sows live in a chicken run with a built-in run, so they are in the garden all day every day and also in their hutch, if that makes sense. It's like this one:

They also go in a large run on next door's lawn, as we have a mowing arrangement :))

The boar lives in the shed in a hutch and we put him out in a separate run every evening for a few hours, or afternoons if I'm not at work. I cover it if it rains.

Mine are out all day everyday. They have a hutch with a big run attached to it, so they can come and go as they please. They get locked up at night and have a cover over the top of the run to protect from the rain and sun. It's on the patio so they get handfuls of grass every now and then. When it is nice i will put them on to the grass for a few hours. They have been getting a lot of floor time in my room the last few weeks because of the weather.

Today....sunny so piggies out... then came the rain so piggies in.... then out came the sun again so piggies out.... and yet again more rain so piggies in!

Grrr!

Mine have never liked going outside! They hated it! Rodney prefers his indoor playpen & me bringing him grass to munch...

Pretty much everyday in the summer. :D If it is about to rain, I provide a shelter for them. I keep them inside in the winter though. :) xx

I put them out whenever weather is good and someone is around to monitor them I bring them in when they seem to be just sitting in their hidey and to have had enough or if they can't be watched any more.
I like them to have some time in the run and they seem to like it but also usually seemglad to be getting back in their hutch!
