Hi

I've got the Easimec ivermectin from hyperdrug and have followed the instructions giving three doses each a week apart. But there is no mention of what to do next - should I then not treat again unless I notice signs of mites, or is it a good idea to continue with regular monthly treatments?

Thanks!

Repeat treatments are a personal choice. I treat the resident pigs routinely with a single treatment every 3 months as I have so many piggies in and out of the rescue (all new arrivals get treated as part of their 2 week quarantine).

If I had pets I would only treat when it was necessary, and any new additions on arrival.

OK thanks, I was leaning towards only doing it if they showed symptoms so I think I will just keep an eye on things for now and see how they go.

As Suzy said, personal preference, I never have other pigs here, so my risks should be slim but I use it as a preventative measure once every few months :)
