wow both the questions I wanted to ask fitted in the title! :))
So I have 3 mini piggies (not staying permenantly with us, honest!) who are about 8 weeks old. Previous owner only gave me enough food for 1 day, so they are now on science selective, well, they eat it, i tried as best as I could to ease the changeover but it was pretty impossible with the quantity of food they gave me! Can they have unlimited, I mean they don't eat much more of it than I supsect they are allowed, I gave them a generous handul last night and only half of it is gone this morning. They have unlimited fresh green yummy smelling hay, topped up daily, and I am giving them veg twice a day. I have been giving them a salad spinner full twice a day. They won't get much fruit, I gave them a slice each of apple yesterday, and the same of carrot the day before yesterday.
I have at the moment veg wise: a bag of spinach, a bag of curly kale, a bag of spring greens, some curly parsley, and some cos lettuce. I also have a basil plant in the garden so I gave them some of that yesterday. I would like to give them plenty of veg each day but was wondering which veg are good for feeding regularly-in variety, i hope to give them 3 or 4 different leafy things each day, rotating as and when I run out. good for a variety of nutrients etc. :) I have already discovered they don't like the spring greens much! There was some left over last night :o

Hi - if you want some food suggestions, go onto my profile, the threads started by me, then click on the Piggies Food. Then go to last post on Page 2, and there will be our long list of things piggies like to eat! With the pellets, I'm unsure. My pigs swap between just pellets and fresh veg, or a daily mix and fresh veg.

I'm quite sure it's unlimited alfalfa pellets until about 6 months old. Then they should be switched to timothy pellets and about 1/8 cup - 1/4 cup a day.
I feed green leaf or red leaf lettuce daily, a baby carrot, a slice of green/red/yellow pepper, and some endive daily! (This changes depending on what I have in the house!), I give fruit a couple times a week.

thank you guys! I also managed to find the 'piggy shopping list'. For some reason I didn't realise it was a safe foods list. :))
