Junior Guinea Pig
wow both the questions I wanted to ask fitted in the title!
So I have 3 mini piggies (not staying permenantly with us, honest!) who are about 8 weeks old. Previous owner only gave me enough food for 1 day, so they are now on science selective, well, they eat it, i tried as best as I could to ease the changeover but it was pretty impossible with the quantity of food they gave me! Can they have unlimited, I mean they don't eat much more of it than I supsect they are allowed, I gave them a generous handul last night and only half of it is gone this morning. They have unlimited fresh green yummy smelling hay, topped up daily, and I am giving them veg twice a day. I have been giving them a salad spinner full twice a day. They won't get much fruit, I gave them a slice each of apple yesterday, and the same of carrot the day before yesterday.
I have at the moment veg wise: a bag of spinach, a bag of curly kale, a bag of spring greens, some curly parsley, and some cos lettuce. I also have a basil plant in the garden so I gave them some of that yesterday. I would like to give them plenty of veg each day but was wondering which veg are good for feeding regularly-in variety, i hope to give them 3 or 4 different leafy things each day, rotating as and when I run out. good for a variety of nutrients etc.
I have already discovered they don't like the spring greens much! There was some left over last night :o
