How old to cut nails?

Just wondering if 8 weeks is too young? Buttons is really hyper and won't stay stil and he's got sharp nails. Don't even know if he's stay stil long enough to let me cut them. :D
 
I use a nail file on really young bubs with super sharp nails, cutting them at this age might damage them cos they are only soft

He's in the run I think I'll wait til he comes out hopefully he'll tired then :)
