How old were you when you got your first piggy?


I was about 10 because my rabbit had died (my gp's companion - I know better now!) And then got a guinea pig - Spice!

I was 13 or 14. Was supposed to be for therapy reasons but turned more into an addiction :))
 
Same as lolseh! I was 14, I got a pig for therapy reasons. Best therapy I ever had!
 
I've had to count back on my fingers :)) I was 19, had them for 5 years now! they are definitely addictive.
 
I think i was about 9years old, had 2 guinea pigs then that lived until i was about 14 years old then had a long break and got my 2 boys 2 years ago when i was 22. Now 2 years on I've just adopted another 2 boys....i think they're addictive! :))
 
I got my first piggies for my 8th birthday and since then i've owned piggies
 
i got my first piggie for my 15th i think. My rat had sadly died and it had left me with a huge gap and mum suggested a guinea as i was so good with my cousins. Had peanut for 2 years i think, he died suddenly, we never found out what happened :(
but then when i got low after splitting up with my ex in July i got Tallulah and have just got luigi for her companion(hopefully):))

indeed they are addictive. when i have a bigger place i want another girl for lu and luigi and a pair of boys rolleyes
 
I got my first piggies 10 years ago (I was 23) 2 sows, Smudge and Fudgex)
 
I bought mine as a Valentine's Day present to me... I mean, to my boyfriend.

You know what they say, when you want more commitment, force guinea pigs on your other half!

I was 27 & have had them for 10 years! :)@)

I decided to upgrade from hamsters who died too quickly. Best decision I ever made! I got one boy & a friend told me I had to get a second. I did & I was introduced to the world of popcorning, squeaking & hysterical antics across the lounge floor!

I don't have time for a man - have my guineas & dog! What more could a girl need? :(|):(|):(|)
 
I am one of the older age group. I wasn't allowed anything small and furry when I was a child, then when I left home I had a budgie and a dog.

Guinea pigs came when my kids were old enough to enjoy them and help care for them.
 
I am 35 and have had my first two guineas for 2 weeks and loving every minute of it rolleyes
