When is the best time to clean Quinn's cage after Kasper's passing?

The cage was last cleaned on Saturday and it's due one but worried about Quinn being upset. Didn't want to do it too early but would tomorrow be too soon? :(

What cage do you have and what substrate do you use?
Would it be possible to clean half of the cage?
But failing that he has the noodle slipper, and your time and attention, and I am sure Quinn will be fine, so do what you need to do.

I asked myself the same question when I lost Sam in july.I left it a couple of days after his passing, I hated doing it as it felt like I was cleaning him away if you understand what I mean but I forced myself to do it because it needed doing.I left a couple of things in that smelt like Sam for Georgie.
Hugs to you xx

I've struggled with this myself - and while piggies are pragmatic, I think they need a bit of peace and comfort. I try to do a bit of a localised clean but not a full clean. And I leave a shared bed/snugglie house in unwashed until the next big clean so that there is a scent of the one who's gone. I so feel for you and Quinn xx

He has multiple pieces of vet bed so I could gradually take pieces away. I changed his bed as it was soaking but have left the rest so far.

I am happy enough to leave the hideys and noodles in without washing as they are always dry (thankfully)!

I hate doing it too, I washed the blankets Kasper was last in yesterday and felt so guilty.

Finding this so difficult. I've had to defer my OU course until next year as I can't concentrate. I can feel depression setting in again
