Hello all,

Let me first state, that i don't want to catch the piggies for my own fun. I accept the fact that they are scared and don't want to be picked up.
I need to catch them for a health check or for a vet appointment and honestly at the moment it takes me at least 1h to catch 3 piggies (not counting the health check itself). It is exhausting for me and stressful for them.

Whenever i try to catch them, they hide into their houses and don't move away. They don't use the tunnels anymore (they know already that this is how i catch them) and putting a treat inside the tunnel is not helping either (they stretch themselves, pick up the treat and run away). I have also bought a big cuddle cube, with just one entry and a bottom, so that i can simply lift them and they are not using it at all. I don't really want to take all their houses away and chase them away through their cage. Their space is 3,5 sq meters...it's a large area to chase them.

My two girls are easier to catch, but the boar starts teeth chattering at me.

Do you have any tips how can i catch them with minimal stress for my babies?

Can you coralle them into a smaller area? Use a spare grid or tea tray or something to shoo them into a corner so you can quickly scoop them up, or shoo directly into the door of their carrier?
