My guinea pigs only chew on hay and food. they aren't interested in toys. They both used to chew wood but stopped. Now whenever i open their cage door they chew the edge, i don't like them doing that because i dont know what its painted with. Any ideas what to do?

The hay should be enough to keep their teeth healthy.
But I always ensure they have some sort of wood hideys or cardboard tunnels in the cage because you need to maintain a bit of their natural habitat.

Hay is better for their teeth than wood chews- as long as they are getting plenty of hay, they will be wearing their teeth. As for chewing on the cage bars- if you find the solution to that, let me know! One of mine does that too when she is excited!
