Hi all

Thought you might like to ee one of our piggies taking her medicine.

See had a very bad dose of a UTI nd had to go on Seprin liquid and Predecilone dablets.

Syringing the Septrin was no problem, but how do you give a piggie tablets.

Souldn't have worried though as Cookie took them all in her stride

great that she is taking them so well. please encourage her to drink afterwards to rinse her mouth out, or else she will be at increased risk of oral thrush

If only every pig was as easy! Prednisolone tablets are so small too once cut into the right dose. I just push tablets onto the molars, some fight more than others, sometimes it is spat back out, but it always ends up where it needs to inside the pig.

Some pills can of course be crushed, mixed with a small amount of water (1ml or less) and syringed into piggie - makes it easier for some people. :)

Hope her UTI clears up quickly.
