Okay, I really want 2 boars. I know your all gonna disagree but I love themm.. I was wondering if incase I need to sep boars how wold I be able to keep them happy?

if a pair fall out, you could have them side by side, or in a biiiiig C+C with a divider down the middle. that way they can still see and chat to each other but dont get in each others way

it would be better if you could get a bonded pair though :)

I would never disagree about boars Isabella I have five and I love them to bits! But as you know they can fall out and you do have to have a plan b if that happens!

As Lez says a bonded pair would be better. Ant and Dec who were here with me for a while, there was no seperating them. Also Pudsey and Eccles are very close. Radley and Sunshine well they tolerate one another and Twinkle is on his own! I am on the look out for a friend for him but nothing has happened as yet. But if a boar can see another boar then they are happy to live like that. I did that successfully int he winter. But there is nothing like your own little pal in the same cage.

Good luck finding a nice pair. When are you getting them?

That's the best thing to do. Hope your mum lets you have them sooner rather than later. I know your itching to get some! ;D

I've had to separate my three the last couple of days as they weren't getting on. Ben hated being on his own - he could see and hear the others and was pacing his cage, chewing the bars and throwing himself around! Then Garry had a go on his own - think he quite liked the peace and quiet really! They're all back together now, still a bit of rumbling/chasing etc., but nothing too bad!

I think pigs can always be paired up with another, but it would be difficult for me to get a fourth piggy (roomwise) so I understand what you're saying with the divider. And I could never disagree with boars - they're all I've ever had! :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

Agree with most of the above posts - boars are amazing and we don't have anything else! However as already said, a bonded pair will be better, but expect for them to fall out and prepare for that contingency before it happens so you are not stuck if the time comes. That's why a C&C cage is so good - it lets you alter it as much as you like and you can just place a mesh diver or C&C panel down the middle and they can still snuggle, shat etc without being a danger. Have you seen www.barmy4boars.co.uk ? I'd recommend a look and it may give you some ideas O0

C&C is the way to go I agree Julie. I am expecting kick offs with Radley and Sunshine but what can you do I can't keep getting boars to fill a vacant gap! I've done that and now I'm approaching 10 guinea pigs! ;D Commercial cages just won't allow you to divide them up so C&C is far better!

We are ok at the mo but plan B is there if needed Girls back in the Lavander Lodge indoors and boys in divided C&C in the shed with Tika in a C&C in the living room! It's a jigsaw puzzle! ;D
