I have just bought a shed for my rabbits and piggies. The shed will be insulated.

The set up will be with the rabbits having the floor space, with the piggies hutch either on a table or shelf away from the rabbits. Sadly i can not have the shed heated due to the rabbits needing to go outdoors for exercise.

Could anyone suggest a way to keep them warm? They have a thermal hutch cover. Think as it's their first winter with us i am over worrying the same as i was with my rabbits. Sadly i can not bring them indoors as my landlord will not allow indoor pets.

We insulated with foil and polystyrene insulation (I think) then boarded it up, we have double glazing windows that we got from freecycle/ freeads - was really cheap. Then I pull the curtains during the night and we have power out there and use an oil filled radiator.

Seems like alot of work but once it's done it's wonderful.
