I am very please because yesturday i put some guinea pig food on my hand and put my hand into the cage for my piggys, my two ones i have had for a couple of months came and ate then the new baby came and also ate off of my hand :(|) it may not seem that big but i am very please with myslef. but i hate picking them up because they dont like me picking them up and they run away, what could i do to make them less scared of me picking them up?

It sounds as if you're heading in the right direction, it's a slow process getting them to trust and get used to you. How sweet they came and ate from your hand! :)

When I get my piggys, who ALWAYS run away form me, I just make sure I support them under the bum when I pick them up and bring them strait to my chest so they feel secure. I often spend ages trying to get Alan but as soon as I get him he snuggles down for lap time!

The only thing you don't want to do is be too scared about getting them as the longer you leave it the less confident you will feel about picking them up and they will love your cuddles, I'm sure!

it seems like a lot of pigs have this issue. they could be the most affectionate pig in the world, but still not be thrilled about the "picking up process." my boys trust me, eat outta my hand etc, but i still have to bargain with god to get them to stay still long enough to pick them up! lol. also i have found that if you pick them up while they're sleeping (they wake up real fast!) they're caught off guard and it's easier to get a hold on them.
