Carrots have been a favourite of my previous piggies, but my current piggies aren't so keen! They are eaten, but left until last! I usually buy baby carrots or chop big ones into chunks.

I saw a FB photo yesterday of rabbits eating carrot peelings, so I decided to try it. I peeled the whole carrot into strips and it definitely got eaten quicker! Maybe they are lazy!

Has anyone else tried this?

I don't give them to the boys often but as a peel most of my carrots into ribbons for myself, the pigs eat them this way too. So not dissimilar to yours!

Hi, yes my three eat carrots peeled better and quicker than if I cut them into small chunks else they get left until last like you said.

My spoilt over-indulged piggies get baby carrots, which they love. I give them whole and it's cute to hand them out - they each take one and start munching in their own corner!

Mine get 2 round slices of carrot each with their morning veggies. These are generally gone by teatime but they have to wait till the next day for more.

I don't feed mine carrots but extremely rarely when my mum has left the peelings I will give them it as a rare treat.

I have been feeding mine carrots (and the tops) a lot and have been reading that he should not have so much so we have cut back. He loves them! He goes for them first and devours them and his mouth gets a bit orange. Not sure why it is not good to give him more because he loves them but, I don't want to overdo it if it is not healthy.
