Ive just got a baby pig home and hes not eating. I know hes a bit scared/worried. Ive given him fresh hay/excel/water and some fresh veg. Hes just too worried to eat. Its been quite a few hours so Ive given him a couple of mls of recovery just to try and kick start his guts back into moving.

Ive left him somewhere quiet where he can chill out. Any other suggestions of what i could do?

Thanks for any replies.

x.

Have you got any grass? they can't seem to resist that.
My garden centre rescue piggy wouldn't eat at all and I was worried sick to the point I stayed up till 3am cos I thought she was going to die and I didn't want her to be alone, it turned out to be something as stupid as the wrong food lol I 'd been trying to feed her wagg pellets but she'd been fed on rabbit food so she wouldn't touch it, my brother suggested changing over to wagg museli (?) and within minutes she was happily scoffing away.
Best of luck, and I hope he picks upand starts munching away soon x

Fresh grass is allways a good one, not from anywhere a dog might pee though. Take a note of where all his food is and leave him overnight and check if anything has been eaten. If he's had a meal of recovery then he won't starve overnight.
