Hello,
Our little guy Jim has had a bad several weeks but is finally doing better. He had a bad dental, then got an abscess and needed surgery. We have been feeding critical care and doing sub-q fluids. Hes pretty much back to eating all on his own - yay! We still do 2 supplemental feeds of critical care daily to help him gain some weight back. The issue we are having is he still doesn't drink on his own. We have watched and have seen no attempts. He drinks water from a syringe happily. We don't know if we need to wean off the sub-q fluids to get him thirsty? I just don't want to do anything to set him back. Any ideas or experiences? Thanks in advance,
Megan and Jim
