How's Ivy Katherine?

I have just read the whole post with tears in my eyes , I am so sorry that you have had to say goodbye to Ivy, it is never easy and much harder , when they are full of character and have an extra little space in your heart - but at least you can feel that you did your best for her and no one could have loved her more
"Sweet dreams baby girl"

I'm really sorry for the loss this morning. Sometimes no matter how hard we try, it just isn't to be. Big hugs to Debbie, Katherine & John, I really feel for you at this sad time. R.I.P. Ivy

I'm devastated but know we made the right decision. Although Ivy wasn't mine I became so bonded to her, especially as she needed such a lot of supportive care. Ivy also had a huge personality for such a tiny piggy. I am going to miss her so much, and I know Katherine and John are going to be heartbroken to have lost their special girl Sending much love to you both x

Debbie, thankyou so much for everything that you did for Ivy; no one could have done more, and we'll always be so grateful to you for your love and care for her. I know how hard this must be for you and how much it must hurt. We kept on hoping, but you are right, we had to let her go now.

Ivy was always very complex and unique, and she carried that through right to the end! She was one of those characters that just stands out - always bossing us around and demanding cuddles or food! Although John and I always had a feeling that she probably wouldn't make it to any great age, she did have 2 1/2 happy years with us. We'll never forget her.

I am so sorry Katherine and Debbie. Little Ivy was a very special piggie. Hugs to you both x x

I still have a video of Ivy on my facebook page which I've just watched. It's so sad that she's no longer with us. It's brought tears again.

We're so touched that yourself and so many other people took such an interest in Ivy and wished her so well, it means a great deal. I'm sure she would have loved to know how many fans she had, as she was a bit of a diva and adored getting lots of attention! (When she was well, anyway.) She was a real people pig.

I wish I'd taken more photos of Ivy when I had the chance. The videos that Debbie took will be nice to see later, but not sure I could cope with them just yet! It is very sad to realise that she's gone.

Katherine, when you feel up to it please consider doing a tribute to Ivy in the Rainbow Bridge section.

I am so very sorry that it wasn't to be despite your Herculean efforts at giving Ivy every chance! It is very gutting when whatever you do is just not working. Ivy certainly had a will to live, or she wouldn't have fought for so long. I am sure that she is leaving some big holes in all your hearts!

Yes, I'd like to, and also for the other guineas that we have lost this year. I think what has stopped me is that I'd like to post photos so everyone can see what they looked like, but the file sizes are too big. I'm not very good at this technical stuff, but my husband might be able to sort it out.

If you have probs with the pictures the could could ask our tech guy Falken. Sometimes you can copy & paste straight into your post.

Contact @Falken, our technical wiz re. photo size. He's sorted out the same problem for me and other members, too!

I am amazed really at just how long Ivy did carry on. She had one or two other problems in her life, and fought her way through those, but this last mysterious problem defeated her in the end. She did have an incredible strength of will, I have never known another guinea pig quite like her.

I'm so sorry Katherine, and to Debbie too. It does sound like she was ready to make her journey to the bridge. Night night little Ivy.

Thankyou very much, I think I will do that for this time. Maybe after that I can learn how to add them myself!

No problem I can sort it for you. Just drop me them on email and I will re-size them and post them once your thread is up x

I'm sorry for your loss. She will be pop corning with all the other piggies now over the Rainbow Bridge :) She will know how much she was loved and that you did everything you could x

So sorry @Katherine.. She fought so hard didn't she? There's always that special piggy that seems to leave a bigger hole than the others, mine was Liquorice. I couldn't bring myself to watch her videos for a year after her passing, and I still shed a tear when I think about her.
Hugs, sleep tight Ivy xx
