Humbug's At The Vet's Overnight

She now has a cold to top it all off:( Crusty eyes and nose. The vet has started her on fibreplex, and says although she has maintained weight at 720g, her only real improvement was taking water from the bottle, and she's pretty much the same albeit walking better. She's lost that hunched up look, now it looks like she just feels pants :( She's also a bit better hydrated, but not enough.
Because she's now got a chill, she's got a bit more difficult to syringe feed, as all she wants to do is sleep and be left alone. I've got a heat pad in with her, but i'm thinking of getting one of those heated cat carriers (comes with a heated bed, that has a power source). I've seen some in Wilkinsons.
I think it's very much touch and go today.
 
Oh poor angel. I wonder if she was brewing this for a few days and that's why she went into stasis - because she felt lousy. It could be the other way around though. Has the vet suggested any medication? They are probably thinking that the gut stasis is the priority to deal with first which is true. Some Bisolvon may help her if your vet is open for you to get some? and maybe some steam therapy using Olbas oil?
 
@helen105281 I think she probably has, as BonBon was a little bit off the week before, but was fine after a few days. She just had watery eyes though, no crust and no appetite loss.
I can't see any other reason why Humbug would suddenly stop eating. She goes back for another check up tomorrow morning, and i'm keeping a close eye on Truffles, although she's just being a nuisance and winding BonBon up.
She's currently sitting in with Humbug, but I think she's just after the warm blanket..
 
I have to add, that I think it's pointless isolating her as the other two would have already been exposed to whatever it is. Thankfully i'm on nights later in the week and i'm off for four days, so have full access to help veterinary wise if needed. They've offered to keep her in if I have to be out for more than a few hours to help her.
 
It does make sense.

Will be thinking of you today, shout if you need anything. If you can try steam therapy it may help, you could use a bowl of hot water and put 2 drops of Olbas oil in and leave it next to her cage unless you have a steam inhaler then you could use that. Hold it over her nose in 5 second bursts.

Isn't it strange how different each animal reacts to something like a simple cold? Truffles is feeling left out, as I've not been giving her the usual lap time, but i have to give Humbug all my attention right now :(
 
She's gone :( Vet suspects spinal abscess maybe the cause. She lost use of her back legs very quickly after we left the vets this morning, and wouldn't take her syringe feed or water, and she stopped swallowing.
She also lost all her muscle tone in her tummy, she was just... limp :(
We decided to call it a day, as we'd tried everything, and she was becoming unresponsive.
I think, and the vet agrees, that having the Juvenile abscess as a baby set her up for issues later in life. Liquorice was the same, abscess as a baby, in the same place, and another abscess 2 years later on her bum. She never seemed to thrive after that.
