Humping Boar ( graphic ! ) please don't open if it may offend you.

Have to say I was very shocked yesterday , while watching my 2 boars Wilbur and Orville (both 9 months old ) running around in their outdoor run enjoying the sunshine .

Wilbur then did what he often does as the more dominant boar... rumblestrutting / purring , shaking his hips from side to side etc ( this time dilating his rectum- never seen that before :( ) .....with Orville following him around the run as his loyal subservient .

What followed next did shock me which was Wilbur climbing all over Orville and thrusting himself ( everything on show ! ) at every part of Orville's body , including his poor little face and head quite vigorously , then almost immediately stopped , but when he turned to face me he had his own very large "rubbery looking" piece of semen in his mouth which he started devouring until it had all been eaten ......is this normal ? , any advise would be appreciated .

I have only been a piggy owner since October so I guess I do have a lot to learn.

Hi! Looks like the teenage hormones have fully hit! :bronco:

I know this also when overexcited boars meet sows for the first time... Even adut boars can still suffer the odd mad hormone spike.

It should be over again in a day or two; if necessary do a temporary separation and then reunite them on neutral ground if Orville has enough at some point.

Thank You , I will keep an eye on Wilbur:box:..... over the next few days............ and hopefully help Orville get over his ordeal :(:soz:,
 
I think it must be something in the name! Our Wilbur humps his soft toy (Steve) quite often and then falls asleep on him. It's odd and very cute at the same time. He's probably around 2-3 months.

Could be .... actually a soft toy would be a great idea , I will order one ( I feel sure Orville will definitely appreciate the diversion ) :)) Thank you .

That's quite alright. We are learning as we go too. Adding a soft toy has definitely mellowed Bert's and Wilbur's relationship. Wilbur has control over the soft toy, Bert has control over Wilbur. It seems to be working.
