Hi all, there's a big hurricane hitting florida and the bahamas. I don't know if anybody has posted about this already, because its near the US. I've been through some big storms with my piggies so I just thought I would put this out-

-If you are evacuating TAKE YOUR GUINEA PIGS!
-Fill up buckets and bottles with fresh water for your pigs water bottle
- If you are worried about flooding bring your guinea pigs to the highest level of your house
-If the power goes out you will likely not have access to refrigerated veggies and food, certain veggies and fruits don't need refrigeration, like apples, peppers, and tomatoes.
- If the power goes out there will be no air conditioning and it will likely be very hot.

A good tip is to get plenty of ice packs. If the power goes out they will stay cold for quite a while.
Stay safe everybody xx

I have been listening to the news about this, it is all over the place. Luckily, I am in Michigan, the uppermost part of the US.
This morning news was about Humane Society of Michigan rescued some cat and dogs and brought them to Michigan. They will be up for adoption after acclamating to Michigan weather where it is much colder in the winter.

It's good that there doing that, it makes me sad to hear that people sometimes leave there pets at home and evacuate.
