I've got 2 new rescue Abyssinian guineas (Holly & Robyn) which are kept separate from my other 3 (1 smooth haired, 2 trimmed Peruvians). Heard husband go up to Holly & Robyn's pen and say 'hello scruffys'. I said, what did you just say and he said it again, then said 'well they are scruffy aren't they, compared to your others, these ones look like they've been dragged through a hedge backwards!'

Such compassion.

Lol thats what my Husband always says too. He says I always fall in love with scruffy looking piggies ;D my very first piggy was an abby. Hamish, Bumble and Rimmer are the neatest piggies I have ever owned. Got a lovely scruff in the shed called Wiggy but he is a darling not sure what he is peru maybe. I love grooming him so does my daughter. Everyone who has seen him thinks he is a sweetie pie.

My mum says my sisters rex/teddy pig looks like a toy thats been in the washing machine then tumble dried!

Heard him saying it again yesterday so think the name is here to stay ... I had a beautiful guinea years ago, very small and sleek but she had a long face - I called her Josephine. Hubby called her PF (for pointy face).

God knows what he calls me.

Tee - hee. I had to laugh. ;D I have something in common with an Abyssinian then according to you hubby, because I often look like I've been dragged through a hedge backwards. Usually when I have had to untangle my hair from hawthorn hedges or the like when I've been weeding under them. Oh, the joys of being a gardener! ::)
