Junior Guinea Pig
So tonight i cleaned out the piggies, i set about getting out my rubber washing up gloves, plastic bags, dustpan and brush, and start to clean out all the old wood shavings and straw and newspaper. After finishing and making sure every last bit of wood shaving is out of the hutch, i head back up to the garage only to find that i have no shaving and a limited amount of newspaper that will not go far. mallethead mallethead
I could not think of what i was going to do!
Before i go further i should point out that their hutch bedding comes from the local petshop around the corner that sells really good quality, food and bedding, and everything else for a cheap price, so being a student it is perfect. Plus it's a nice short stroll away.
Well by the time i had finished cleaning out the old bedding it was 7pm and the local petshop was closed and i had no car to get to the nearest tesco/Morrisons or P@H. I considered waiting for the OH's Dad to get back home, and bringing the piggies in for more floor time (They were sat in their little carry cage watching me clean out and squeaking at me to hurry up and get their bed ready) But then i thought that knowing my lucky he would be home late tonight (which he is, on his way home now) So i was completely and totally at a lost of what to do! Until, that is, a light bulb clicked on above my head! "Why not use one of there towels/Fleeces, till i can grab some more bedding" I decided to use fleece as there happened to be one in their carry box and i was feeling lazy and could not be bothered to walk up to the house and root out a towel. So i told them they had to get out of the box. They just stood there looking at me saying "But Mummy, you haven't finished our bed yet, why are we coming out?"
so anyway they now have part of their hutch covered in fleece and as soon as they hopped back in they were popcorning everywhere!
So after a long story, it appears i may have to change them to fleece otherwise i may have some little piggies who refuse a cuddle until they get what they want :p
On another note, Their blog is still in the making, but they have lots of posts for you all to read
