just wondering what everyone uses to line the bottom of their hutch? i currently have newspaper on the bottom with dust extracted shavings on the top then hay in the bed box area (fresh hay in hay rack for eating). Are dust extracted shavings ok to use or should i be just using newspaper to line the bottom of the hutch?
thanks :)

I have a cage and use newspaper however i know people with hutches use old offcuts of lino, which i would imagine would be much easier to clean that newspapers, plus you can re-use it! i would probably still put newspaper ontop of the lino.

thank you. my hutch is a very large indoor rabbit hutch so has a plastic bottom so very easy to clean and i completely gut it every morning and spot pick of an evening so i should guess if anybody thinks i should take him off the shavings then just newspaper would be ok....
thanks for replying :)
