On another forum I was recommended to make a discinfectant: 'Mix 4 parts white wine vinegar, 6 parts water, a pinch of salt, and some lemon juice'

Havn't done it yet but considering it.

Ill prob make some of that now Jane :) Thanks!

I have my pigs on black plastic to protect my carpet... so ill be giving it a thorough clean out tomorow :) The rabbit cage needs a scrub too ;D

I just use very hot soapy water then vinegar for really stuborn stains I would put bicarb of soda and vinegar never had to though clean them out every other day ;)

Virkon is a really good disinfectant and kills lots of diseases etc, vinegar does clean well but it doesnt actually kill off nasties very well i dont think

Well I used to live in a flat that had mouldy ceilings and vinegar was used to clean and kill the mould spores and I lived there a few years without the mould ever returning. It was my gran that told me how to kill it with vinegar. ;)

we have used bleach and put it on our mould :( the room reeked! but i think the mould has gone :)
