Hutch size for 3 guinea pigs?

I have a 4 x 2 foot hutch that my two girls live in but I am getting another guinea pig (female) in a few weeks. I was just wondering if the hutch size is big enough for 3? I'm not sure it is but.... but my friend is offering me a 4 x 2 foot double hutch! |) Reason being because she is getting another piggy to live with her male and only needs the hutch until both boys have bonded. So am I best getting the double one for 3 or will I still need bigger? :{

4 X 2 is fine for two piggies, so I think the double one will be fine for three. As long as they use both levels

Thanks. That's a relief! I can't really afford to buy another hutch right now! Just saved up £55 for my rabbits injections and I also have to get my new bunny (coming home in August! |) ) spayed which is another £50! mallethead
