Hi, i know i just made a post about a guinea pig but i also have another piggie which has a bit of a dodgy hip and back leg. My vet told us that we should giver her hydropherapy every day and then after a month bring her back to the vet. I have not yet done the hydropherapy and i need some tips and help before i do it like how long i do the hydropherapy for, and other things because i know guinea pigs can get stressed if they loose their natural oils. Thanks

I have done it a couple of times, and put them in the bath in water that was deeper than they could stand in. Then I held them for the entire time so they were supported but could move their back legs in the water. Someone I know used water therapy after their pig had a stroke and put them in a child's arm band and the little boar then kicked his legs as he moved about the bath. It is very important though that the pig is supported the whole time.

Is your pig a passive pig?
If not, l could imagine water to be very stressful
