I Am Poorly

Got sent home from work Saturday and have been poorly ever since - I got my children to feed and poo patrol the boys cause I think I have to keep away with a cough/cold/temperature. I cleaned them out today but didn't pick them up in case they get ill - is it true they can get my cold and have I done the right thing to stay away? They will be wondering why we don't get cuddles!

Poor you, sorry to hear you are feeling unwell. I think you are right in not handling guinea pigs when you have a cold. Can the children give them a cuddle until you feel better? I have a feeling I have seen this before on the forum and @helen105281 gave the answer?

Best to restrict handling and use a hand sanitiser if you need to handle them and when feeding. F10 hand sanitiser is my friend when I am ill.
