In case you haven't seen my other thread where I spent all night thinking about a little ginger piggy in our local pet shop who was all alone . . . I bought her this morning, my feelings got the better of me!

She is seven weeks old and quite tiny, absolutely gorgeous. The girl in the shop was nearly in tears when she gave her a last little cuddle, she had become quite attached, bless . . .

Will post piccies soon.

Now I've cuddled her for ages, how do you think I should best introduce her to the others? I just bought Molly in to say hello on neutral territory and she wasn't too impressed when littlie tried to bury beneath her - I remember she got cross when the others tried to do that. I was thinking I'd introduce them one by one, then let her have a little time in the hutch on her own when the others are in the run? What does anyone think? All replies appreciated thanks x

Firstly Congratulations :smitten: :smitten: what a lovely thing you've done, your heart won out awww :smitten:
One very very happy piggie :)
I've only had boys, but i believe the best is the give them a bath and then supervise from there :)
I think it was Kelly that said vicks on their noses and butts did help, but don't do that till you've got confirmation (i'd hate to put you on the wrong track), you could perhaps look up other threads and also Barmy4Boars is wonderful for information like this :)
And last of all, enjoy your little furbabies cause it sounds like you're going to have lots to entertain you :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

you could try introducing them on neutral territory (maybe in the hall) before doing the bath thing, maybe one at a time, keep a towl at hand just incase they do fight, so you can throw it over them and rescue the little piggie, (just in case) hopefully it wont happen.apparently you should be able to tell pretty quickly if they like each other.
good luck

ahh brilliant name my all time fav hunk Richie Sambora has song called Rosie and its my favourite ( not inc hubby of course hes my best hunk) right as shes so young a bath might frighten her poor thing doesn't need too many changes, what you could do is smother her in hay from the girls hutch so she smells of them, introduce them gradually as she is so young I cannot see any probs but please keep an eye on her, make sure the girls have plenty of private hidey places to go into, yes let her take ont he smell of the hutch and the others while the others are in the run and then let them in with her keeping an eye on them I think all will be well as she is so little, none of my girls ever fight and tend to love meeting new babys
I am so glad you did get her becasue i was thinking of her all alone in the shop all morning you shouldn't tell me things like that ;) cant wait for the pictures, give her a little kiss for me :-*

Aww welcome to Rosie :)

I don't think you'll need the vick at this stage. Introductions with little ones usually go well. On neutral territory of course :)

Rosie is a beautiful name and sounds like it would suit her. Welcome Rosie. :)

Thanks, you're all soooo kind. She is adorable! I've introduced them individually and they were all fine with her, they have each laid together with her, snuggling.

She is now in the hutch with them and they are all having tea! O0 O0 :smitten: :smitten:
