image.webp They all try and sit in one tunnel all day long! Every time I come out to look here they are.
The white one at the back is actually the very dominant one so not quite sure how she hasn't managed to chuck the other 2 out.

Mine are the same large 5'ft sq run and they all stay squeezed into the house - and its not the only shelter as I do cover one side of the run!

Maybe you could cover part of the run to give them some shade.Try a wet towel.
Thanks. The run was half covered by a fabric wipe clean picnic blanket (one of those fold up ones from mountain warehouse) - you just can't see it in the photo. Actually the whole run was in the shade anyway - you can just about pick out the yellow bits of grass in the back ground on each photo where there is some sun. I like the wet towel idea though.

mine act similar to this when they are outside, although they are getting braver the more they go out - I tend to scatter hideys all around the run to encourage them to move about, but even tempting them with dandelions didn't work for the first couple of times

This photo shows why I don't feel overly guilty for not being able to allow Salvatore out in the grass very often. I could have a huge yard and he would still seek out the tiny places. He has a large cage (a veterinarian technician called it "the guinea pig Hilton hotel" and plenty of room to roam around in it, but I imagine him saying "the guinea pig god must love me because I have this clean, lovely corner with a shelter to hide in, and food and hay appear miraculously several times a day."
Your big, new run looks solidly built, and I am sure the piggies feel secure with it even if they don't travel too far in it.

Mine do the same but only for 10 minutes in the beginning of grass time :D!
I love the piggy nearest to the camera in "development" pic! Who is he/she :)? Is that colour in in his/her face/body beige?

The girl at the front is Fizz. She's a teddy breed I think. Someone told me once that colour on her back is lilac. We love her too

Fizz is lovely! Eukko (my ava) looks a bit like her though she's aby (Eukko has some lilac, too ) :D! Lilac and beige are sometimes quite close to each other so it's hard to tell..
