Hi my names Erin.
I have 8 pigs of my own but recently life has gotten in the way and I feel really bad even considering this because I get mad at other ppl for doing this with their own pigs but I just can't do it anymore and now I think it's better for me and definitely better for my pigs to rehome some of them.
Please don't think of me as awful I would not do this if I had no other choice and I'm crying right now even thinking about it if you know of anyone on here or in person who would love a wonderful piggy then please contact me because I really need to rehome at least 4 of them and I reason I am doing it on here is because I know this forum has guinea pig lovers on it.
Please help me.

I don't think anyone here would criticise you for actions you feel are in the pigs best interest, it's a very conscientious thing for you to do, and I know it's very painful but if it's for the best then you're right to do it :)

@Caviequeen no one on here would criticise you. Everyone's circumstances are different. It sounds like you are having a tough time and the important thing is that you are putting your piggy's needs first and doing the right thing for them. Big hugs!

I am sorry that you have come to this decision. These are the only rcommended good standard piggy savvy rescues in your state although I am not sure whether Little Mischief is still active:

Yea there's no rescues near me except the SPCA but they don't except guinea pigs.
I was just at my wits end last night cause I just realised my pigs have mites and they need to be seen by a vet and my money is pretty much non existent cause I've been out of a job luckily I found out this morning only 4 of my pigs have mites my girls do not even tho I'm going to bath them all my parents said they would help with the cost for a vet which I think is super nice of them and my vet also is willing to give me a discount cause he says that I truly care for my animals and I also give him a lot of business so after I fix the mite problem I will ppb look into rehoming at least 4 of my 8 pigs which will be so hard cause I've had them all since they were babies but I really think it will be great for my pigs.
I'm taking them to the vet but dose anyone know any good home remedies for dealing with mites or lice?

I am so sorry you have to make this decision. You are being very sensible and caring to put your little ones first. I wish I could help you. Please do not think badly of yourself. You will find your little ones loving homes.

You may like to start a thread in the health section about the mites.

This must be a very hard decision to make, I don't envy your position, I hope everything goes ok for you and the piggies xx

I can take 2! I'm looking for 2 girls (or boys), and I'm wondering, do you have a short haired and an Abyssinian? Those are my top two choices but I'll take any piggies. How old are they? I'm going to maple ridge on Saturday. Do I need to bring my travel carrier? My parents say that we should take a look at them first. How can I contact you in case I need to?

I've hidden your post CQ, can you send your personal details by pm. Ta muchly. ;)

So happy that 2 of my pigs went to a wonderful home with Guinea Pig fan15 thank you and email me on here or my email if you ever had any questions, do you have idea of names for them or are you going to keep Oswin and Olive?.?

I'm sorry to make such an unimportant post in this thread but, wahey, I'm called Erin!

I don't think that anyone should criticise you for this decision, it is your choice and you are making it with the piggies' welfare in mind. You've realised that they need a new home, so thank you for being strong.

I hope nothing I've said upsets you.

My friend helped me find names...we decided on Coconut and Hazelnut! Thank you so much for giving me this wonderful pair of piggies. I'll post some pictures in the pics and video section!

They're settling in great! I've started hand feeding veggies (am I supposed to or is it too early?) and they've both taken veggies out of my hand already! Do you know which one is older by a few minutes or something...?

That's excellent news piggy fan 15 and no you can hand feed them veggies right now, it's a excellent idea especially if you want them to get used to you and I'm pretty sure Coconut is older meaning she came out a few minutes before then Hazelnut came out.

Thanks. I was just worried because we weighed them yesterday and. Coconut was 100g heavier than Hazelnut, so I was just checking if it was alright. Thanks again for giving me the cutest piggies in the world!
