My guinea pig Muffin recently passed away and although I miss her very much, it's time to get my brother's pig Hershey's a new friend. The problem is, I've found two pigs that I like very much and I'm having trouble deciding which one to get.

If I got this one, I would name her Cupcake.
She has cute eyes, and an interesting pattern, however she is already 3 months old.

If I got this one, I would name her Cinnamon Roll, Cinnamon for sort.
She's tiny, pretty, cute and only six weeks old.

The women who currently has these piggies said they are both the same socially and very friendly. Both are really cute, but I can only get one.

Which do you think is the better choice?

The best one is that which is character compatible with the other piggy. You can’t know until you put them together. I can’t help you, only you can choose.

Why is she giving them up?

PS what’s that red mark on the younger piggy?

It’s more important that Hershey’s likes the companion rather than how they look. However, see below what I say about health issues and quarantine.

If it’s the baby you are considering then I’d get the baby checked out carefully if I were you. That looks like a bite mark or fungal on the ear and you need that like a hole in the head. I’ve no idea whether it’s a breeder or a private seller you are going to but I would also want to be sure that whoever you bring home has been properly sexed and checked over for health issues. Breeders and sellers will say anything to make a sale or to get rid of a piggy. Sorry to be blunt.

And you need to observe quarantine. This explains the importance of it. Importance Of Quarantine. Please read it carefully.

Are these Guinea pigs cage mates? It would be unfair to split them up....

However as others said your best bet is to let your piggie choose who she prefers.

I was thinking that, there’s something on her ear?
