I wish I hadn't let my guinea population grow so high!
I can't cope anymore and I feel horrible thinking of re-homing them, I have tried so many times to make it work but it just can't :(
sorry about the random post :embarassed:

How many piggies do you have? Maybe it would be best to rehome some/all of them if you can't cope with them. If it would be kinder to do that then no one will think you're horrible.

I'm sorry to hear you are struggling right now. I would think about re-homing some of them, maybe cutting your herd down to half or to what you feel comfortable with.

As Jane said nobody will think you are horrible for doing so, you are thinking of the pigs

Hugs,

Louise

you're thinking of the pigs which is good O0 the best thing to do is rehome some of them, it's the right thing O0 and you never know, someone on here might take some, and if they're near you could go and visit maybe? i would post on the rehome section, if you do come to a decision O0

have no idea how many piggies you have, but i don't think you're horrible! O0 O0 you are putting your piggies welfare first and that is what owning a guina pig is all about. O0 O0 like some one suggested make a post on here to rehome some, perhaps put a notice up at your local vet. O0 please don't beat yourself up over this, you are doing what is right for you and your piggies and no one could ask more of you! O0 O0 O0 hugs and cuddles to you and your fur babies. :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

I was thinking of re-homing my boars, but i'll keep my four sows as they live as a group and aren't to difficult to look after :)

believe me Beth, you are far from silly, its good that you are thinking of rehoming and thinking of your guineas welfare.

If I could help I would, but there are plenty of loving homes out there where they will be loved 0:)

I think you are being 100% responsible about your situation.

Whats ages are the boars?

i think re-homing the boars would be good O0 you're being so sensible and putting your pigs first so well done, i'm sure many people put themselves before their pigs! O0
You could see if anyone on here is near you and could take them, so they're in good hands, and maybe you could go and visit them and have a cuddle O0

come on chin up , i know it is hard work and i should know i have been there enough times and putting the pigs first is the first step,

I know it must be so hard but your thinking of the pigs which is very responsible. It also means that you can give the ones you have left more attention and you'll be able to enjoy their company more as you won't be so stressed out. O0

Hi.
Thanks everyone, it's been really difficult :(
I have 9 ( :o ) piggies and i'd be re-homing 4 of my boars. I am in Derbyshire but the problem is they couldn't go to a new home for a while.
Archie has sore feet which are being treated with Gorgeous Guineas perfect paws and Apito had originally been living with Rudi and Ruben but I came down one morning and Apito was totally bald underneath :o it isn't mites but it's from stress :( I doubt anyone would want a bald guinea pig or one with dodgey feet :(
Rudi and Ruben are ok though :D
I wouldn't want to re-home Charlie, he is VERY special to me for various reasons so he could be neutered and live with my girls :)
