I can't STAND some people!

:tickedoff: One of the places I advertise my rescue is Craigslist, and recently somebody emailed me from it. The guinea pigs they wanted were on hold so they went mad and put a nasty slander ad about my rescue on there! When I emailed him asking him to remove it and being as sweet as can be he refuses! All he is doing is lowering the chances of the piggies getting a home and he doesn't care! It's absolutely awful, and there's not really anything I can do about it. I don't normally say I hate people, but I truly hate him. :tickedoff:

Hi Kimmie

I really feel for you, but you would think that they would be pleased that the piggies where on hold and that they were going to get a home even if its not with them.
I have come across this, I have had to turn people away as they where not the homes that suited my rescue pigs at the time and I knew it would never be a forever home for them, they then slated my small rescue and it really emotional hurt me but people like that dont deserve the love and affection of any piggie.

Keep up what you are doing dont let these people suck your energy and drive from you, what you are doing is really important .

What an . He clearly was being selfish to not even CONSIDER different guinea pigs! I'd make another post on Craigslist if I were you about your cause.
 
I did make another post. It's jsut awful, he says that everytime I advertise on there he will too. This isn't benefitting him at all, what is his problem? *sigh* would anybody like his email to send him a 'friendly' letter?

why dont you change your name etc on there or re register?
people like him make me damn sick
 
Well, Craigslist is like a big site where you can post things you have for sale or want, etc. You can post anonymously, too. It's not like a regular forum where you sign up and fill out all your info. If someone is interested in a product or service that you have, they just email you.
 
i will email him a 'friendly' letter without any reference to you. please pm his details.

I don't know if he took it down or if it was flagged and taken down by Craigslist, but it's no longer up there! ;D A huge thanks to everybody for your support and help, you're all wonderful! :smitten:

His kids are prob brats anyway and dont deserve animals. Some people make my blood boil, and i wasn't even in contact with the guy! :tickedoff:

Hopefully someone had words with him, and he saw the error of his ways. Doubt it though, prob warned with a suspension if he didn't remove it of something.

OMG i know how you feel , i had a run in with one of the mums around at the school, I was telling her about my Guinea pig hotel that i run, as she is going away in the summer and she owns pigs, bu her attitude was I am not spending money on them they will be OK " will put on 4 water bottles and two bowls of food, that will get them through the week" why do people do this, you wouldn't leave a dog or a cat for a week so why would guineas be any different, :tickedoff: I gave her a ticking off, which means i will have to skulk around over the next couple of days and i said a few unkind things.

what are people like,
 
Thats a bit silly! I would never leave my pigs alone for a WEEK! Thats soo cool you have a guinea pig hotel lol!

Let her go, then call the RSPCA and tell them what she told you. That is def neglect. >:(

Why do you have to skulk, be proud! :)
 
There is alot of what i call plastic mums perfect make up and clothes, but a false friendliness to go with it, and i have herd them stab people in the back as they walk away, the have also laughed at me for what i do :-\ it makes me feel uncomfortable, maybe i should joint he specials again and hand out a few vehicle ratification forms ;D ;D

Yay, join the specials again! You can catch them driving whist using their expensive flash mobiles. Today is the start of the '3 points' day! Yipee! :police:
 
I stood on my own in the playground today, word had obviously got round, as to whether they were on my side or not only time will tell :(

Wish i had kept my mouth shut, at the end of the day it really is none of my business :-\
 
you daft thing you are way above them tarts in my estimation as for leaving them for a week I would most def be phoning the RSPCA no doubt, they are shallow and got no real life think everyone owes them soemthing sad really give me a home loving piggy hugging mum any time, they are empty headed barbies, you def did the right thing and I would have done exactly the same as well, in fact years ago when my youngest was still at primary a friend asked me if she could cut her own pigs nails, I said I'd do it for her, the poor pigs nails were curled up and round, I did them and left her in no doubt that I thought she was cruel and she needed to get her pigs seen by the vet next time, never spoke again but I was fine with that who wants friends like her , the pigs were re homed I heard from some one else, cant have been worse, you go girl let them know what you think :tickedoff:

Never say that. I believe in instinct. If i say something or do something out of instinct i believe it to be the right thing. You did just fine and if they want to act younger then thier children let them. You are by far the bigger and better person out of the lot of them. She prob hasn't told them she was going to neglect her pigs for a week and you were telling her what for. Let them have their little group slander session, you know you are right.
