so it's been a fair few weeks since spud and Gundam left for the rainbow bridge and although still heartbroken we're both piggie parents at heart. An empty cage just didn't feel right and as we begin our married life together we needed a few little fur babies to make our family complete. So on Friday we began discussing what's next and started a casual look at rescues adoption pages. Today we brought home Hugo and Rufus. They are 5 months old and were born in the potteries rescue. Hugo couldn't wait to leave the carrier and quickly claimed the first hide he saw. Rufus is taking a slower approach.

Awwwww what beautiful boys they are.

Although they'll never replace Spud and Gundam they'll fill that piggie shaped hole ❤️
 
I could not be happier for you @Sweet Potato and for these boys. They were born on 30th December in my house literally hours after being rescued. Their Mum and sister are Gladys and Frida who live with @PigglePuggle. It’s wonderful that this little family are all now adopted by forum members.
I can’t wait to see how they thrive in your care and look forward to loads of photo spam x

That's so nice to know. Its rare to have so much of a backstory when you get a pet let alone getting to know about their whole family. Don't worry about the piggie spam there will be no shortage of that.
 
Lovely to see that these handsome boys have a home with you. I kept seeing them on The Potteries page and hoped that they would find a good home. They will have a fabulous life with you.xx
 
Congratulations, they are lovely boys. Looking forward to hearing more about them as they grow. They've landed on their little paws with you.

Ahh that's where the ginger gene comes in. I'd love to see a picture of Gladys and Frida and Dantyllew these boys are beautiful I bet it runs in the family.
 
I think Rufus likes watching the TV. Every time I walk in the room he's just stood there staring. I was warned these boys were still working things out with the higherachy but it seems to be all squeals no teeth which is good. They've just had their first dinner with me which included a few special treats. They're very messy eaters can you belive this was a nice neat pile of veg.

So pleased they have settled so fast, and they both look so much like their sister Frida from diffetent angles lol!
Getting piggies who were luckily born strsight into a really good rescue situation with a known history like this really helps, but also you must be doing an amazing job yourself for them to be so chilled already :) x
