One of my guinea pigs has a lump on his shoulder he's only 1 1/2 years old and over the last few weeks it hasn't got any bigger but should i still get it checked out or not be worried?
How big is the lump? Is there a wound there? What happens if you squeeze it? Does it feel hard of soft? And does it move under the skin?
It could be a small abscess (which would need vet treatment) or it could just be a fatty lump (lipoma). My girls have them on there tummies. They are small, hard-ish lumps that move around a lot under the skin.
If it's an abscess you won't be able to move it under the skin. It would need to be treated with antibiotics.
