One of my guinea pigs has a lump on his shoulder he's only 1 1/2 years old and over the last few weeks it hasn't got any bigger but should i still get it checked out or not be worried? :(

I would get it checked. Hopefully it will only be an abscess, which a vet will be able to drain so it can heal

You should defiantly have that checked by the vets ASAP, do you have a vets nearby?

How big is the lump? Is there a wound there? What happens if you squeeze it? Does it feel hard of soft? And does it move under the skin?
It could be a small abscess (which would need vet treatment) or it could just be a fatty lump (lipoma). My girls have them on there tummies. They are small, hard-ish lumps that move around a lot under the skin.

If it's an abscess you won't be able to move it under the skin. It would need to be treated with antibiotics.

Have a look at this site and see if you can shed any light on it http://www.guinealynx.info/lumps.html

Hope this helps

Get it checked out. Guinea pigs can be prone to cysts and abscesses which may need to be treated by the vet.

Ooooo! Hope everything goes okay at the vets, healing vibes from me and the furry brood xxxxx
