I don't think my boys are that keen on fleece!

I'm a little disappointed, I was so excited to try them for the first time on fleece today but they don't seem to even notice a difference! Boys!

Although maybe Badger likes it, as he made an effort to rub his bum and leave stink all over the cage!

mine are on fleece and they didn't react any different to being on sawdust is just easier and cheaper for me They still have a litter tray with sawdust and hay

Aww give them time. You may find them sleeping out now as it is soft.

They did enjoy the softness I think, but I didn't anticipate it being such a chore to clean all the time! I'm getting a 2X5 with a 1x2 C&C in the post in a few days and I don't know which bedding to use! Fleece is comfy and cheaper then hay (especially in a large C&C) but hay is just so much easier! What do you guys use in your C&C's/large cages?

I've used a large chunks of vet bed in both my summer hutches and winter cages. It gives me peace of mind that they have somewhere relatively dry to sit on as the vet bed is designed to stay dry on top. I try not to have the hay in that area as it is a horror to remove for washing. I used fleece for other areas of cage/hutch . I find the fleece easier to clean as opposed to newspaper lined floors with all hay on top .

I have ground sheet then puppy pads then fleece with extra towels and fleece where they wee (usually use litter trays, shavings and hay in them) but if you had correx wouldnt need puppy pads. The main fleece only needs washed once a week, litter trays every day and extra towels and fleece when they wee on them (one by litter trays every day as it is covered to encourage them to use litter trays and gap between trays) Dryer broke at the moment but mum three doors down so I manage)

I went from shavings and hay to six weeks of fleece but found the cleaning of the fleece to be such a chore.

I went to paper and hay but the last few weeks have gone back to shavings and hay with paper under so I can just roll it all up. They still have a small fleece area that's just a grid wide. I found just paper and hay it didn't absorbed their wee.
