It started with just two guineas...and now I have 4... Not sure how that happened...other then people now know I have guineas as well as chinchillas and these two were no longer wanted anymore...

They are adorable and are getting on well with my other two girls. No idea of names yet....I have taken tons of pictures and will post loads soon :)

congrats on your new additions ;D think you're right... cant stop at just two, i started with 2 and now have 5! its all good fun tho

cant wait to see pics x

i started with 2 and have 7..lol over the space of 5 1/2 years though :)

I started off with 3 girls
1 for me,1 for my hubby and 1 for my son
now I have 18 ;D O0

I started with 1 and got 2 more the same day, then a week - 2 weeks later I got 2 more then another 1 from the rspca, then I rescued 2 and rehomed them with my mum and then I got 2 more from a rescue lovely little girlies and soon I am hoping to have 3 very gorgeous Boars! I think I may be addicted infact my neighbour said to me is there a name for people who cant stop getting guinea pigs :) I would have more but I cant fit anymore in lol

Ive just got 2 at the mo... but I'm always tempted by more (especially when I look at the rehoming site)! Just cant have more - so I have to really restrain myself! Very difficult though cos they just melt your little heart...

....one day though... *sigh*  ::)

I only have 2 piggies now but i really really want another one, i've been begging my mam to let me get a self coloured guinea pig :(

My boyfriend and I got 2 piggies four years ago. We couldn't get anymore as we still lived "at home"....but since we now live together we've just increased our numbers to 4 which is soon to be 6......will it become 8?! We have to stop around the 6ish mark probably though, they are taking over the living room as it is! ;D

Oh dear .... we have 2 piggies at the mo and nearly ended up adoptiong a 3rd.. I would love more but really have to restrain myself - I just worry that I won't have the time to cuddle them all! We have 2 bunnies and a hamster too, they are all boys. I would love a little girl bunny but my brother is chronically allergic to female animals so he couldn't come to stay over if we had a female bun. OH keeps tempting me with trips to the pet shop!
i think we will have to be strong and keep to the ones we have got otherwise we won't be able to give them enough time. I'd love a tufty abby piggy though!

Wow :o - never heard of that before... just being allergic to a certain sex!

I know - he is fine with my boars, but when we had girl piggies years ago, if I had handled them I would have to wash my hands and change my clothes before I went anywhere near him otherwise it would set off an asthma-type reaction. He is worse with cats though.

Yes you have OCGD - Obsessive Compulsive Guinea Disorder ;D ;D & you're in fantastic company ;)

I started with 1 male, then got 2 females to keep him company...then 1 of my females popped so I now have 6 lol

I think you are right :)

When I got my two girls there was a possibility that they could have been pregnant as the lady who sold them to me had left them with their brothers a little too long. For the first few three months of them being here I was watching and feeling for babies! Had they popped I had it all planned what cages I was going to have where to fit them all in if I could. Happily they weren't preggers because really it would have been a bit much but I can definitely see why a little troupe of about five pigs is appealing.

Mind you, the chaos my two cause at floortime, maybe two is enough! ;D

We started off with 2 girls, but one was pregnant and had 4 babies. there were 3 girls and 1 boy, so we got him a friend and now we have 7! :o

We started off with a bonded pair, and fell in love with two other single boys, hoping to bond them in the future! However they are not yet bonded and the original pair fell out so now we have four seperate boys! Would love more, but its just not practical, but yes, they are super addictive!

I keep trying to decide what my "maximum" number should be....we have four now, but that is very soon to be six as we have two coming to live with us soon. My maximum number was going to be six, but I am now thinking perhaps eight would be ok.... ::) ;D

I went to buy two, saw three brothers and just couldnt bear to split them up. After the third one died, got two more, then two more, then singletons to add / replace and now have eight. I had to eventually agree with OH that I would run down the boars, because I wasn't allowed to add any more cages! All eight now live together, so nice and simple on that front (apart from the fact that I want to make their run even bigger and that's what we shall spend tomorrow doing!).

Definitely have OCGD but so what? :smitten: :laugh:

They are just fascinating little creatures, I love the fact that they have their own individual personalities. I currently have Rodney and Violet and a foster piggy. Hope to get some friends for violet in the next couple of weeks.

I'm soo addicted to them :smitten:
I have :
6 sows
7 boars
More on the way soon
13 in total ( SO FAR) lol :smitten:
I started off with 3 ! ::)

I am dying to get another guinea pig, i only got y first in March but there quirky wheeks and personalities of my 2 have me hoooked and i can never imagine not having piggies ever but i really really want just one more to add to my sows :smitten: :smitten: but noooooooo said my parents we already have a zoo >:D
