I feel so bad right now.

i put bailey out in the run earlier nipped inside because dad was outside, but dad left him outside alone. Well this stupid dog from the flats down the road got in my neighbours garden and started barking so i looked out the window and noticed bailey was gone. i charged down stairs and started hunting for him, my brother and dad helped too. We searched the whole garden for a good 20mins until i went next door thinking i was looking for a dead body(i was breaking my heart crying by this point) and dad shouted me to come back over, thinking he found him dead i ran back over and here he was..sitting in the rabbit run eating muffins dinner! we think he squeezed in through a small gap because he ran out of grass to eat. I dont have a clue how he got out tho!

:'( :'( :'(

thank God hes alright they can squirm into the tinest of holes cant they little darlings

Atleast he is okay now. Don't feel bad, atleast you found him and he is safe and well. Search the run really well for any holes he could have got out of.

Hope you're feeling better soon..it really isn't your fault though, it's not like you put him on the grass and said run free little piggy :P

They are litle escape artists aren't they? I know mine find every awkward nook and cranny in the room even when we block them off. Can't wait until we put them outside! Don't feel too bad, but do check the run for escape holes ::)

What a nightmare for you. It's the worst thing isn't it. I looked after my niece's 2 guineas last year, they were outside in a hutch and we were about to go to bed, husband let the dogs out and asked when I was going to bring the guineas in from the run. I said, they're in already, and he said well why is the hutch door open. I nearly had heart failure, it was SO awful. I raced outside and thankfully they were both in the hutch still, down one end. I must have left the door open but I am always so careful, I've never lost a pet.

I really feel for you. You feel terrible. But it's a happy ending and at least you won't do it again!

thank god you found him in one piece (((hugs))) cos i know that even afterwards you feel scared, at least i did when my chinchilla went behind the wardrobe and got stuck! Sh got out fine and now and doesnt go in small spaces anymore ut i was shaking for a few hours afterwards
