I feel really bad hardly giving our guinea pigs presents, only carrots, everybody else has or Santa has, I know it may sound weird but I feel bad.
Maybe they can have New Years Eve/New Year presents :)

Why not make it Jan 26th - and give them lots of things, it could be a double celebration for Australia Day and Piggy Late Christmas Day.

sue g how do you know about australia day?

I get the feeling that your piggies would have been oblivious!

I didn't buy mine anything, i just gave them a little extra veg as a treat i don't feel bad i give them more than what they need all the time so one day wasn't going to matter don't feel bad they are happy and healthy warm and fed what else does a piggy want

Mine got a hanging hay hoop, and I feel bad because they have ringworm & I've removed all their toys bit their igloo. I can tell they're bored, and they're desperate for a run too but til they start looking better what can I do.

I'm sure your piggies were happy with their carrots, nothing really makes them happier than grub at the end of the day ;) x

dont worry i didnt get them anything i was too sick to anything yesterday

mine only got a nice bowl of veggies and willow balls! I gave my presents to the secret santa as they have more need:)

I always celebrate Australia day with the children I childmind!

I wouldnt worry about it at all. i bought my pigs their own stocking and filled it to the brim with a huge selection of treats from the pet shop - fruity sticks, biscuits, carrot treats etc and what have they done? Turned their nose up at the whole lot and instead, just gone mad for the veggie peelings from xmas dinner! So next year, i'm not bothering with treats, just an extra large bag of veggies!

My piggies had melon leftovers, carrot shavings and some grapes from our own Christmas dinner as special Christmas treat, plus some extra portion of their dried "salad" - which I can't give too much and too often so that was special, too.

They haven't got any special presents, as they have got a good life every day of the year! All my presents have gone to other piggies in rescues... :))

So don't feel bad - love and tlc every day of the year is much more important!

my xmas prezzie off my mum was a willow toy for the guineas and i brought a hammock, but i have 21 guineas so cant split them between all so mine just had a treat of curly kale and spinach as they dont have this very much at all with there been a high calcium content in it, dont feel bad as guineas dont know its only us that do, get them a load of grass or some extra veg's x
