So today when I got home from school my 4 year old guinea pig was acting different then he usually does. The first thing I noticed was that there was white stuff around his eye, and he wasn’t moving a lot like he usually does when I get home. Then I started to realize that he hasn’t been eating a lot like he usually does... So I tried a experiment to see if what I was thinking was true. He loves carrots and can’t live without them and every time I pull one out of the bag he goes nuts and eats all of it. But when I did that he didn’t even acgnologe it... He also hasn’t been breathing like he usually does. Can someone plz tell me what to do, because I already cleaned his cage and even bathed him. I don’t know what else to do other then to go to the vet...

If he is not eating, has eye discharge, and is breathing abnormally, he needs to see a vet as soon as possible. I would worry about a respiratory infection, which would need antibiotics and probably supportive care (there are stickies at the top of the page on syringe feeding.) Respiratory infections won't go away on their own and can be fatal, so definitely time is of the essence here in seeing the vet.

Sadly he passed away the night before we were going to take him to the vet. thank you for you concern though...

So sad, so sorry for you.

So sorry for your loss.
Sadly a guinea pig can go down so very fast.
Be gentle with yourself as you grieve
